“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
Does the voice of God lead you? Maybe it seems like everyone else's voice is louder, or all the distractions make it impossible to listen. Yet, when you became a follower of Jesus, you received His gift of the Holy Spirit. Paul teaches us in 1 Corinthians 2 that we receive discernment from God through His spirit. When we rely on this power, we can distinguish right from wrong and receive guidance. We're able to know what voice is from God, from others, from ourselves, or the enemy. To do this, we need to spend quality time with Him by reading and meditating on His word. Sometimes all you need is quiet time with Him, asking Him to speak to you with His still, small voice.
The Lord loves spending time with you and providing guidance. Meditate on 1 Corinthians 2 and trust that God will speak to you.
