Scripture
“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Devotional
Each day is a new beginning and another opportunity to see things from God's perspective. When we shift our thoughts to Him, we are inviting joy.
Let's recall previous mornings when joy prevailed over sadness. We can thank God for the ability to feel gladness and the moments when this emotion was greater than hopelessness. Thank Him for past blessings of contentment and for those to come.
God has called us to a life filled with joy, even amid hardship. Choose joy for today and every day to come. Choose the joy of the Lord and watch as He transforms your life.
Reflection
Recall situations in your life where hardship got the best of you. Then reflect on those moments when you experienced joy. What can you do today that would produce gratitude?
