“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
Who or what is the master of your life? The Bible tells us that we are either enslaved to sin or submitted to the Lord; there is no other option (John 8:34). Even though Jesus calls us to die to sin, it can be easy to justify doing things our way. Living for ourselves eventually brings us into a cycle of sin before we even realize it. We may experience temporary happiness in these things, but we only find lasting freedom and joy in Him.
Today, choose to receive His “perfect liberty.” He wants you to be free—free from regrets, anxiety, addiction, and anything else that controls your life. We are so blessed to have God’s mercy, redeeming love, and His Holy Spirit that empowers us to love others!
Lord, thank You for choosing me and making me Yours. Please help me to choose You daily so that I may live free. I want to follow Your ways because they are higher than my own. In Jesus’ name, amen.
