“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
Do you find it challenging to love someone who just wrongfully accused you or lied to you? Love might be the last thing on your mind at that moment, and others would understand. However, love isn't something we can manifest within ourselves; it solely comes from God. The Bible says that God is love. He is our only life source. So the next time you become frustrated with someone, including yourself, remember that you can call on the Lord, and He will give you an overflowing of His love.
Dear Lord, I thank you for the people you have placed in my life to love. They are a blessing, and I am grateful for the comfort they bring. It's easy for me to love people who love and appreciate me, but I know you want my love to extend to those that are not as easy to love. Lord, increase my ability to enjoy today and help me love those outside my comfort zone. Give me the grace to love those who are hurting and the most unlovable. Let me be a reflection of your love for them. Amen.
