The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Do you feel fulfilled with your life and excited to live out God’s purpose for you? In John 10:10, Jesus says, I came that they might have life and have it abundantly. This verse implies that Jesus desires you to embrace and cherish your life!
The Christian life is not one of misery, unhappiness, or boredom. It’s a life overflowing with goodness, excitement, blessings, and joy. But unfortunately, many fail to experience this. We can have a wrong or warped view of Christianity, which causes us to miss out on the beautiful life Jesus wants for us. The truth is, the Christian life isn’t something you have to endure. It’s something you get to enjoy!
As you go through your week, remember that we have an adversary, an enemy who wants to destroy and depress us. But we also have a God who loves us and wants what’s best for us—a God who is faithful and true. So let’s stand firm in our faith and live joyfully, all for His glory.
Thank You that the Christian life is filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Lord, may we open our minds to the wonderful life You have for us and experience the fullness that You died to give us even this day. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
